Perspective

I appreciate Mike taking on a lot of stuff most churches and teachers avoid. Mike is gracious to "outsiders" and I feel challenged every time I listen. I don't agree with everything Mike or some of his guests say, but they cause me to question and wrestle with what I believe and lead me to evaluate it. That is good teaching!! I feel like questioning and wrestling with what is going on around me in my culture is important and you can't live in the Christian bubble if you want to see Jesus come to your community and truly follow him if you just take what someone says or what you have heard growing up as absolute truth. I grew up in a Spiritually abusive church in Orange County and the older I get the more I see how toxic it really was. I would encourage anyone including my gay boss, friends hurt by the church and atheist friends to listen to the conversation.
